"Medical Assessment Visit"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)

(as a service user),

Referred by GP to Medical Assessment at RAH. Expected it to be chaos but was met by polite receptionist and booked in.  Started assessment within hour of arriving. Seen by various medical and nursing staff who were polite and working hard despite being very busy and obvious huge throughput. Offered drinks and nice tea time meal.

I would imagine medical assessment units are not pleasant places for staff with high throughput and sick patients and hope they're given every support and resource.

Dear OpinionGiver

I was delighted to hear your positive feedback of your experience in our Medial Assessment Unit at Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley.

It is always stressful when you have to attend hospital for any reason and I am so glad that care delivered by the Team helped address your concerns and put you at ease.

I will ensure these kind words are shared with the Team as I know that it is very important to staff to hear that they have looked after their patients so well.

Thanks again

Geraldine
