I was admitted to the Accident and Emergency Department on 26 May and later transferred to Warrington Ward, under the care of the Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Team. I had surgery following scans. My stay in the hospital lasted twelve days. I was extremely happy with the care I received at the A and E Department and in the ward.

In the A and E department, my assessment was swift. Prior to my surgery, I was seen by members of the consultant and his team and the procedures were thoroughly explained. My care by the ward staff was more than expected, they were a dedicated team working long hours. They even brought in a television so that patients would not miss the Queen's Jubilee celebration. I could not have asked for more, especially during this difficult time that the NHS is experiencing.

Following my discharge from the hospital, the laparoscopic specialists team contacted me daily to monitor my progress at home. Several post operative appointments at the hospital went well and timing well managed.

My experience with Torbay Hospital has been very positive. I found the hospital to be well managed by a very dedicated and professional team. Thank you Torbay Hospital.
