Was pleasantly surprised when after being released from the RIE hospital after having a valve & Aortic chamber repair, I had a visit from Annie, a specialist nurse in the Fife Community Cardiac Nurse service. I wasn't aware of this service. Annie was able to check on my progress, able to answer a lot of my post operation questions & had access to all my operation & care results, which she was able to share with me. This information was invaluable in re-assuring me of my progress. Annie, was kind, thoughtful & very knowledgeable, she was so calming for me & gave me a lot of confidence on the service provided.
I was more aware as to what was to happen during my recovery & what I could expect from the NHS services in the future.
Annie provided all her contact details just in case I had any questions after she left & also if I had any concerns about my recovery progress or any worries that occurred in the future.
