I have had a knee replacement operation in the pipeline for about 4 years now, however due to covid and multiple cancellations, it was only yesterday when I received the operation. Thankfully everything went successfully and now it is a case of getting rehabilitation measures put into place to ensure a full recovery! The doctor's are pleased with my progress, so I will hopefully be allowed home this evening-provided my medication is in place. The staff in orthopaedics are wonderful, they couldn't do enough for you. The hygiene of the ward is first-class. I am pleasantly surprised with the standard of food I have been receiving- hospitals are infamous for their ''awful'' food but my experience has proved otherwise. Overall my time in orthopaedics has been very pleasant and it is down to the brilliant staff around me.
