"My experience so far"

I phoned for an appointment at my doctors to be told no appointments available so saw the practice nurse about an insect bite on my leg that seemed to be growing, they said it wasn't infected so couldn't give me anything . I felt this wasn't right so tried again for a GP appointment with no luck again, but was sent to see the treatment nurses. That was April this year they tried various treatments, none of which did any good. I then started to request an appointment in dermatology which the treatment nurse said was the right course of action, and asked the doctor to put it through as urgent, the doctor who still hadn't seen me decided it wasn't. Long story short I called into the surgery, insisted on seeing a doctor and was referred straight away as urgent.

Dermatology was yesterday the staff were excellent,  the doctor was very concerned and insisted on biopsies strait away , the biopsy nurse, David and nurse Kelsey were excellent,  they put me at ease as I was very traumatised,  and got the job done. Now I have to wait 6 weeks for results? And need surgery and skin grafts , story ongoing.
