"Moving forward with the recovery college"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Nottingham Recovery College

(as a service user),

Took many years to be heard! I asked for help after finding out about "The Recovery College". I wanted to access and learn practically face to face in order to overcome my haunting mental health.

I kept asking to get help as tablets and going to doctors wasn't getting me out of a rut. I need to move forward and help myself.

Learning about a range of subjects helps me break things down as I am recognizing a lot of issues that I myself can help as I'm being helped by tutors and fellow classmates.

Dear Avocetrj86

Thank you so much for posting this feedback. It is clear your drive for self-management of your own mental health has been important to you for a long time.

I am very glad you found out about us and had an open mind to want to learn how to overcome your “haunting” mental health.

To hear that learning about the range of subjects and recognising that you can help yourself manage your mental health is very inspiring, and is a core belief of the Recovery College and my team.

I will passing this on to the team who will be so pleased to hear that the time they have spent in classes with you has inspired hope, opportunity and control.
