"My hip replacement operation"

Extremely reassured the moment that I entered the hospital. All staff very welcoming, friendly and great at putting you at your ease. Nothing was too much trouble for them. From the moment that I arrived through all the various stages from the initial visit by the anethaethist then the journey to theatre; the recovery room and back to the ward and subsequent care from nurses, physios and o.t.was absolutely first class. They were patient, very good humoured and always checked, doubled checked and triple checked your personal details.

All the staff were so enabling ,their friendly positivity was both utterly professional and supportive whilst at the same time managing to appear effortless and casual! They could watch you when you were walking about without it being obvious until you heard a word of encouragement and approval coming your way. Again, I can not thank them all enough for their Herculean efforts and am so glad that I landed in their hospital.

I'm especially grateful for having been placed in a more old-fashioned hospital where the staff could open the doors to outside and allow plenty of fresh air. Bliss! The food was plain and straightforward, nourishing and appetising and the tea trolley came round morning and afternoon. I struggled having to try and have breakfast at an unearthly early hour for when I'm at home I am always up for a while before having something to eat. But that's just a personal niggle and not a criticism. I'm just so appreciative of all that was done for me.
