"Reassrunace of staff is helpful"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My child’s care in the Ed has been pretty brilliant so far. We phoned ahead which allowed us to have quite a short waiting time which was very nice. The nurses have been absolutely great with me and him and I am very happy they are looking after him so well. They are very reassuring and have explained everything that they can at this stage. We have had no issues and hope to be out soon.

Good morning

Thank you for taking the time to reflect upon your hospital attendance with your child.

It is lovely to hear how well our staff are looking after not only your child but yourself and keeping you updated with everything that’s going on. We will pass on your kind words to the staff looking after your family member.

Having that reassurance from the nurses is so important to parents, in not only understanding the plan of care for your child but also makes the reassurance from yourself to your unwell child much easier as you have a clear understanding about what their care plan is.

We hope everything is going well and we wish your child a quick recovery.

Regards

Paul Smyth
