I had surgery to remove endometriosis a few months ago. I suffer allergies and while trying to tell the nurse all of them she kept cutting me off so I couldn't get through the full list, and said well they won't kill you. Maybe not, but anyone could guess having surgical dressings you are allergic to will increase risk of blistering skin and therefore infection. Horrible attitude and didn't let me get through the necessary medical history. Awful surgeon, so rude and very pushy and insistent on administering an IUD which I did not want and have had poor history with, which he was not happy about. Also was not interested when told risk of skin issues were a factor due to also having an unrelated other medical condition. His response was we can't do anything about it and nothing will happen. Unfortunately as I predicted my stitches cut into my skin due to fragility and caused infection after being treated like I was stupid for worrying this might happen. Have had poor recovery and have complained of issues post surgery I've not had before when being seen for follow up. Was told someone would call me after to discuss next steps within next few days to help me. It's been 2 weeks. Really poor care, some rude uncaring staff, no follow up as promised and supposedly an accredited endometriosis centre.
"Not very good and deeply disappointed in levels…"
