"Impressed by the way I have had appointments provided"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

Recently diagnosed as diabetic, I have been impressed by the way I have had appointments provided for the nurse, and the foot, eye and dietetic clinics so quickly.

The only person who has made no contact with me (although I believe he arranged the referrals) was my doctor.

I think I have received much help in a short time and I am grateful for this.

Your GP initiates the referral and TRAQS process the request according to your GP's instructions. Once the referral has been processed we aim to contact the patient within 5 working days of its receipt and do our best to meet your needs in securing an appointment where possible and as quickly as possible. The care provided by all NHS staff from the start of your referral process to the end is of overriding importance and we are pleased to note that you received a high standard of care.
