"Nurse helped my son with his nose bleed"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Covid Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

My son was playing football at Renfrew Leisure today and he has taken quite a bad nose bleed. He has ran to the area where the nurses are giving vaccinations and the lead nurse Jane has taken care of him, stopped the bleeding and cleaned him up.

I’m ever so grateful for this ladies actions. Although my son knows what to do as he gets these quite regularly he told me he was so scared because I wasn’t there, so I am ever so grateful to have a fellow nurse look after my boy when I couldn’t. He said she was so lovely. Thank you so much Jane.

Dear GBrodie

Thank you for providing us with your feedback on Care Opinion.

It was great to hear Jane was on hand and was able to assist your son with his nose bleed.

It must have been a wee shock for him so was great to hear he felt comfortable enough to approach Jane for the help he needed.

I will pass your thanks onto Jane who I'm sure will be happy to hear your son is feeling better.

Kind regards

Kevin
