About: Blackheath Hospital

My elderly grandad had a cataract removed at the hospital.

Pros

-Speed of the entire process.

-The doctor was professional.

-Private room to recover.

But these are to be expected and are nothing exceptional.

Cons

- Lack of after care. My grandad was left hours without a doctor coming in to check on him as the doctor had left the site.

- The nurse who helped us had deplorable interpersonal skills and all questions were met with audible tuts, eye rolls and general disdain. It was abundantly clear the nurse did not want to be at work and struggled to maintain professional.

Dear Reviewer,

I am sorry to hear that the aftercare your Grandfather experienced was unprofessional. These are not the standards we expect or accept at this hospital and I will use this review to highlight this to all our teams.

Thanks for taking the time to feed this back.

Dean Morris

Director of Clinical Services
