"Amazing at providing support"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I had my daughter in Feb 2022 in the maternity unit at Craigavon. As a first time mum I was terrified of labour but my midwife put me completely at ease. My baby got into distress and I ended up having an assisted delivery but the team kept me calm and reassured me the whole way through. When we got transfered to the ward the staff could not do enough to help me. Especially Mavis who spent a  lot of time helping me establish breastfeeding with my baby. The team are amazing at providing support especially with the restrictions around visiting due to Covid
