"Awful service "

About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

i took my 16 yr old who had a head injury to a+e weren’t told which counter to go to so ended up waiting behind people who came in after us when we worked out ourselves where we needed to be, we were told the nurse would see us soon to triage - 4 and a half hours later we were still waiting for the nurse and were told that the wait for the dr is nearly 7 hours ! i complained to the reception who said knock for nurses room and someone will be out and i knocked 4 times and no one came out. i know it’s busy but this is not what i pay my taxes for to be treated like this the one time your child needs the hospital. awful wait times and awful service.

Dear Visitor

Thank you for taking time to contact us with feedback. We were sorry to read of you and your 16 year old's experience and disappointed to learn that your experiences did not match the expectation you would have had of us. We would welcome the opportunity to look into this, and feedback to you as appropriate. Should you wish for this to happen, please liaise with PALS Team on site who will be able to assist you further. You will need to provide them with your contact details (i.e. your child's name, hospital or NHS number, date of birth and your contact information etc.), and a more detailed summary of the concern. You can do this via email to at wxpals.bartshealth@nhs.net or telephone 0208 535 6438

Kind regards
