About: Cumberland Infirmary / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

I was admitted to the Emergency Department in Carlisle late one evening in mid July with chest pain.

Staff were all lovely and caring, friendly, efficient, working so hard in a very busy department. I was made comfortable over night in the department before a bed became available in the morning.

I just want to say thank you so much to all the staff who cared for me during my admission. A special thank you to a very cheerful advanced HCA Lisa who explained everything that was going on. I was asleep and missed her to say cheerio in the morning.

The department also served great toast for my breakfast!

Your feedback will be recorded and shared with the department. The trust really values patients feedback whether good or bad and it is used to make any improvements and shared with staff to celebrate those good experiences that patients let us know about.
