"The care & attention staff gave was second to none."

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department Craigavon Area Hospital / Radiography services Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a service user),

After feeling very strange at home one morning my daughter rang the Ambulance as she thought I had Stroke Symptoms. The ambulance was here in 10 minutes which was fantastic. The team was waiting in the hospital for me and I was assessed immediately.

I got an emergency CT scan and blood busting infusion almost immediately. The care and attention that the staff gave to me in Craigavon Hospital was second to none . The wonderful NHS were brilliant and thankfully I made a full recovery.

Hi Foxtrotqc49

Thank you for taking the time to share your very kind feedback and for detailing your experience with all staff you have mentioned. Specifically, the 999 control staff and paramedics who would have been on the phone with your daughter and at the scene, during what would have undoubtedly been a worrying time for you and your daughter.

I am most delighted to hear about the quick intervention made by paramedics on scene and for the swift conveyance to Craigavon.

I would very much like to share your positive experience with NIAS staff and to identify the right people I require some extra details from you. I can be contacted at details demi.mckay@nias.hscni.net - I look forward to hearing from you and hope you continue to make a good recovery.

Best wishes

Demi McKay
