"Cancer physio session - give exercise a try it helps"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as a service user),

Returning home after lung cancer diagnosis, received my radiation treatment few weeks later. After my treatment I was feeling tired ,depressed and very low, I was asked by my consultant to take part in a home physio programme this was the last thing on my mind.

12weeks later I have completed my programme and feel a lot better in myself, the programme was on line and I didn’t have to leave my home and instructor was caring and enquired about my ability to train each week. I even find myself doing the exercises when sitting throughout the week at home.

Give exercise a try it helps and you feel you having support from being part of the group.

Dear Lansdowne,

Thank you for taking the time to post about your experience of the physical activity classes. I am delighted that you are feeling a lot better and felt supported throughout.

I will pass on your kind words to Joe and the rest of the physiotherapy team.

Best wishes,

Bernie
