To flag in case there is a problem.
When you are given a Cardiology appointment by letter, the number it gives you to call if the date given is not possible does not get answered.
It either rings, then cuts out, or does not even connect, or else it is engaged.
If you try via the main switchboard, you get put through, but it rings and rings, and no-one at switchboard gets back to you.
There is no call queuing.
