"Waiting in a/e waiting room for 6 hours with chest pains"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was taken to Wishaw general in the morning with chest pains was taken into the triage and given an ecg and told to go back to the waiting room as it was fine. At roughly 6 & a half hrs later I was taken to a cubical and blood taken and sent for an x-ray the bloods came back showing I had had a heart attack.

Should the bloods not have been taken earlier as the end result could've been a lot worse this is only an observation and not a complaint as all staff were brilliant .
