"Professional and highly skilled referral for possible cancer"

I had a 2 week referral for possible cancer of the tongue. I was contacted the day before I was seen to inform me that an extra clinic was being held.

I was seen within 2 minutes of my appointment time, which was much appreciated since nobody wants to sit and worry about possible cancer for too long.

I was seen by Alex and Nigel who did everything they possibly could to put me at ease before my thorough clinical examination. My questions were answered honestly and expertly and I was offered a biopsy for further reassurance if I needed it, which I didn’t. Photos were taken and explained and I was shown pictures in a book to aid understanding.

I can’t praise Alex and Nigel highly enough. They were professional, highly skilled and did everything possible to minimise the anxiety of the experience. Great job, thank you!
