About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I would like to thank all those involved and working in and with the A&E Department at NHS Lanarkshire for their care and attention after I took unwell yesterday. 

I was in the department for just under 12 hours and I witnessed care and professionalism from everyone from the Porters to the Drs, Nurses, Students, Cleaners, Radiographers, and those unseen in the Labs.

Although it was a difficult day for me, I cannot underestimate how everyone involved with A&E, particularly nursing and non - clinical staff made my stay bearable. I could see how they were struggling with the heat one one of the hottest days of the year, but their care remained professional and welcome at all times.
