About: Royal Bournemouth Hospital

Today I visited Bournemouth Hospital for a gastroscopy. I was very nervous. However, the team were all so kind and made me feel at ease. I felt reassured throughout the procedure. As someone who likes to know what is going on, I was able to watch the screen and they explained where the camera was.

Thank you for your kind feedback and you are certainly not alone in feeling nervous prior to coming in for a procedure but as you have witnessed first-hand, the team are very good at putting people at ease and reassuring them.

The flexibility of either being sedated or awake depending on preference is very good and makes for highly individualised care which most people appreciate.

We will share you comments with the Sister to pass on to her team.
