(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I was brought into the hospital yesterday evening with contractions. Everything was fine when I came in and the delivery team were ready to help me with my delivery and they were so kind and helpful. One of the midwives, Mairead, was especially helpful and kind. But on the whole the maternity team in Daisy Hill have been amazing – they make sure you have all the information you need and do their best to make sure you have everything you want and need. The hospital is a lovely and clean environment and while I have not had any of the food yet – the tea and toast is amazing and I honestly think I could live off of the hospital tea and toast it is that nice – whether that’s because I’m not having to make it or clean up afterwards, I don’t know. There is nothing that could be done to make my experience any better.
