"Compassionate and protective"

About: Scottish Air Ambulance

(as a service user),

I was very scared, paranoid, going through a mental health emergency in Orkney, when I was helped by Janet and Raymond. They spent hours with me building trust, until I was able to choose to go with them by air ambulance to Forth Valley.

I am very grateful to them for the exceptional care that they gave me that day. If they had forced me it would have been very traumatic - instead they were both gentle, compassionate and protective. I was sedated but it felt by choice and not excessive

Dear herondt79

Thank you for your kind words about the crew who attended you.

It is always lovely to receive positive feedback.

If you would like me to pass on your thanks to the crew could I ask you to email our Patient Experience Team at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with your details (including Care Opinion username) and the date and address of the incident.

I do hope that you are feeling better.

Kindest regards

David
