About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Came into accident and emergency was busy but I knew I needed to stick it through. Accident and emergency never gets a break and they handle it the best they can. The place is definitely understaffed but that also cannot be helped.

The staff are so nice and are trying their hardest. Their standard of care has been very good, they have done their test and stuff which led to me being admitted.

Female surgical has been okay just annoying since it is a covid ward at the minute and no visitors. This ward is busy and the environment is okay. The food is just standard, it is hospital food after all.

The staff are trying their best, they can be sharp but they are so stressed out.

I am happy with everything so far.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on Care Opinion. Feedback like this is greatly valued and I will make sure that the nursing team of Female Surgical are made aware of your comments. It is important that staff do not let their work load impact on the patients. I appreciate the face to face visiting restriction when implemented are difficult, we do offer virtual visiting as an option but I understand that the personal family contact can be more comforting for families.
