"Trouble getting an e-pass"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine

(as the patient),

Wasted part of the morning trying to get an e-pass for an outpatient appointment. I was constantly taken to the comments section and could find nowhere on the site that actually asked the relevant questions. No matter what direction I took the same 'comment' part of the website was the only page that turned up.

It's no big deal as I can be asked on arrival about my covid status but if you suggest an online tool or method please make sure it works and is user friendly.

Dear Ronas24

Thank you for your feedback on your recent experience. We can only apologise for the issues you had and the inconvenience; we have now moved away from using the e-pass based on current NHS advice to simplify the COVID screening questions.

We have investigated the issue you experienced and found that you received a previous version of the letter that goes with your appointment letter. We have therefore taken steps to rectify this going forward. We would not have found this without your feedback, and thank you for this.

With kind regards

NHS Tayside
