"MRI suite - good experience but improvements…"

About: Royal Derby Hospital

Staff were lovely, very helpful and caring. Unfortunately, whoever organises the patient seating, in waiting room and MRI room has not taken into consideration that some patients are quite disabled and need higher seating. I physically struggled to get out of them, the chairs were far too low. This situation could, very easily, be resolved with just a small number of higher chairs with armrests. Also, I know it is personal choice whether to wear masks or not, but there is no option in the MRI scanner because the dept hasn't been provided with non metal masks. Because I am clinically vulnerable I bought my own non metal masks at a cost of £7, but it would be better it the dept could provide them.
