"Shocking and poor system "

About: Pinderfields General Hospital

A 11 hour wait overnight in a a and e before a bed was available. No information at all about how long or why or any other information for that matter. Website see 4-6 hour wait …. Someone can’t count. Told it was an unusual night as were two other people I know who also used a and e at a similar point in time. They had 11-13 hour waits. And no information.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your recent experience.

I am really sorry to read of your poor experience and that you had to wait a considerable amount of time before a bed was available. This is not the experience we would want for any of our patients but unfortunately, we are experiencing increased numbers of patients within our hospitals and we fully appreciate that the wait time can be very long. This is not ideal and I am equally sorry that you were not provided with an update on what was happening.

It is important that we learn from our patients experiences and I will share your feedback with the manager of the service.
