"Professional and very caring"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Emergency Medicine Dr Gray's Hospital / General Medicine Dr Gray's Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

A&E was hellish - no info just told to wait.

5 hours later I got through A&E - from thence on brilliant.  Went to Ward 1 where a HCA Ulrika helped me efficiently to the scan room where I was swiftly scanned.  On Ward 1 Nurse Helen is brilliant- even under all the stress she stays professional and very caring. She needs a medal!

Dear CattieL22,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I'm delighted to read your feedback about Ward 1 and the radiology team who performed your scan so quickly. I'll share your kind words directly with Ulrika and Helen and I know they'll be grateful to hear that their care and attention made such a difference to your time in hospital.

I'm sorry that you had an extended wait in A&E. The A&E team clinically prioritise patients arriving in the department for assessment and, at very busy times, this can result in long waits. I'll also share your feedback with the A&E team and look at ways to share more frequent information about waiting times.

I hope you're recovering well from your recent admission.

Kind regards,

Louise
