"Oh dear "

About: Royal United Hospital

Took my daughter to a&e. It was a Sunday and we arrived at 8.45pm. We left the hospital at 2am. The doctor was lovely but he was obviously overstretched and seemed to be the only doctor there. Staff are obviously doing their best under the circumstances. The children’s a&e waiting room was packed and dirty. The toilet was filthy. A young man had been very poorly in there, vomiting etc. I didn’t see a single cleaner the whole 6 hrs we were there. The bin in the toilet was overflowing with dirty tissue, paper towels and a cardboard vomit bowl.

Staff are obviously trying but they shouldn’t have to work in those conditions.
