I was not feeling right and took my own blood pressure. I was getting a low reading and was not sure that my machine was correct. I contacted the Ivybridge surgery and was invited to come in immediately to test my blood pressure on the surgery machine. This proved that my machine was correct. The conclusion was that I was being over medicated and after seeing one of the GPS stopped taking one of the drugs. My blood pressure came back to a more normal reading over the next few days.

We are pleased to learn that you were able to use our blood pressure machine and were given advice about your medication from your GP. It is good to know that your blood pressure reading was normal after a few days.

Our patients can use our blood pressure machines without an appointment at our Ivybridge and Plympton practices. You must be able to stand without assistance and if you need any help a member of our front of house team can help.
