"Bad service all round "

The gp tells ya to use wed site to book appointment to see mi doctor at 8am but no appointments showing to book so tried phoning them since 7.55 this morning engaged till 8.55 then it rang for 12mins an still no answer there systems even more worst now than it was before corona an it was bad then the receptionist need to do there job alot better an stop asking about ur situation wen u only got to book an appointment for people or sort waiting area out

We are sorry that you’ve had problems contacting the surgery. Due to the demand on the service we are experiencing an high volume of calls on a daily basis. We are still trying to change the phone suppliers at the surgery this will hopefully alleviate patients disappoint of getting through to the surgery, however this is taking longer than we had anticipated.

All requests for appointments are triage first by the Advanced Nurse Practitioner. An ANP will call you back within the morning an appointment will be arrange if needed.

These telephone triage appointments are released every morning at 8am, Monday to Friday. You can book these by calling the surgery phone number or online. To get you registered for online service contact the surgery and we can register you straight away.

Once all of the appointments have been taken the ANP will closed the triage for the day and patients will be asked to call again the next day at 8am. Patient contacting the practice with emergencies problems will be put through the GP oncall for that day, patients with less urgent problems will be signposted to the out of hours service in Barnsley (iHeart).
