"The whole process was seamless and comfortable"

I attended day surgery at Wishaw for a hysteroscopy, polypectomy and biopsies.  From the moment I attended reception till the moment I left I felt reassured. Everybody I encountered was so lovely.

Cheryl and Elsbeth introduced themselves and explained what would happen - they were amazing. I spoke to anaesthetist,  Dr Burns, before my surgery and knew instantly I was in great hands.  I was a little nervous about perhaps experiencing pain and felt instantly reassured after speaking to him. I then spoke to the surgeon who went through my consent. I opted for a spinal.

After checklists were done I went to the anaesthetic room with the anaesthetic nurse who was fantastic, Dr Burns completed the spinal so quickly and painlessly that I never felt anything. I continued into theatre where the staff were so friendly and I was taken great care of. I never felt any discomfort throughout the surgery and was spoken to throughout the procedure which kept my mind off everything going on.

After surgery I went to recovery. Cheryl and Elsbeth could not have done more for me, they were fantastic. To be honest the staff from start to finish could not have done any better. The whole process was seamless and comfortable and I felt the time taken to reassure me and care for me throughout was incredible.
