I took my 86 year old mum who is severely disabled to Tameside Hospital for a Heart scan and echo.
We were warmly greeted by a member of staff called Andrea who apologised for the delay. In actual fact my mums appointment was for 09.50hrs and it was 10.00hrs. So actually not that late.
Andrea said she was going to be performing the scan. My mums mobility is very poor. Andrea was fantastic she gave my mum all the time she needed she scanned her making sure my mum was comfortable at all times.
She explained everything she was doing.
Once the scan & echo were complete Andrea explained she would be referring my mum to the cardiologist rather than waiting for her GP to do it.
Andrea is a credit not only to her department but also to the Hospital. Her kindness and patience was very much appreciated and my mum felt very safe with her.
Well done Andrea you were an absolute star..
"A credit to the department"
