I want to thank all the staff on ward 1 of Monklands Hospital, and special thank you to Alison and Zoe.
I collapsed in the bathroom at home and ended up in this ward for six weeks after they discovered I had a problem with my kidneys. The care I received was second to none. I was completely involved in my care and the communication was excellent. Everyone was so lovely and kind from the tea ladies to the cleaners and the medical staff. Made my stay there a pleasure.
I had to go to theatre for a biopsy and I was really nervous but 2 staff held my hand and came with me, they chatted away, we laughed and put me at ease, so much so that when I asked when the operation would begin they told me it had been done and was over.
We spoke as if we had known each other all our days.
Everyone I met there had such manners, polite, caring and kind. I am now with medication and I have so much trust in them now that I have no concerns.
Outstanding people, outstanding care.
"Communication was excellent"
