"I felt cared for, valued and at ease"

I met Dr Rauf yesterday to have my first ever IUD fitted. From entering the room, she was extremely lovely and welcoming. She clearly went through the risk assessment form with me and answered any additional comments I had with great knowledge. When it came to the fitting, she made what could have been a very awkward and uncomfortable experience really relaxed. I was constantly reminded that I was in control of the treatment and could stop at any point if I wanted to. She explained what was happening as she did it and would warn me before moving onto the next step. This was really great to ensure that I knew what was going on and definitely put me at ease. She made general conversation with me also and seemed to take a genuine interest in myself, which made me feel valued. Despite the general pain of the treatment, I honestly had a very pleasant experience (and would like to thank Dr Rauf again!). I felt cared for, valued and at ease as she went above and beyond my expectations! If I could, I would definitely recommend Dr Rauf to everyone wishing to get an IUD fitted (or even just as a Doctor) - she was lovely! Thank you!
