"Constant rescheduling "

About: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital

I was referred by my gyno consultant which i had on the 7th April and since then my appt at the gyno clinic which is just a phone call has been rescheduled lots. Today i received a letter in the post to say its been rescheduled again. From the 7th April to my new appt i will have waited 5 months for my ultrasound results. I know the NHS is under severe pressure but on top of other issues with the gyno department and lack of understanding of trans health care as a trans man i have lost all trust in the service and i am feeling really let down.

I am sorry to hear of the of the appointment delays you are experiencing and can appreciate how frustrating and disappointing this must feel. I am also really sorry that you do not feel well cared for as a trans man in our gynae service. I want to assure you that your concerns around this have prompted a new look within the team, and we are taking these very seriously, with the support of our Trust Equality, Diversity and Inclusion lead.
