"Still waiting on call from doc "

My 6month baby had an allergic reaction to egg. Rang 111 as she has several allergy symptoms and needed advice. The questions asked were completely unrelated to the issue so goodness knows how they can do an accurate assessment. Anyway the operator said we needed a call back from a doctor so to keep phone near by. This was 2pm on Tuesday, it’s now 9am Wednesday and still no call from doctor. In the meantime I thankfully managed to get my baby to my doctors to see her urgently and get the treatment needed. In future rather than calling 111 I’d would go straight to A&E as things can deteriorate in the time waiting for 111 to respond to you. Any wonder hospitals and doctors are so busy when you can’t get the help through 111, no choice but to use the other services.
