I arrived in ambulance covid 19. One of paramedics was odd…gave me far too much info then kept trying to make me calm down when I panicked but I guess he meant well! An hour wait in car park. Into a&e & a long wait to be spoken to by ANYONE. But once in the system all info was clear, tests & treatments happened rapidly & efficiently. Staff were friendly & willing to explain everything. Only one blip was when staff failed to advise CT scanners that I was covid positive. I was made to feel safe & cared for. Things were cleaned thoroughly. I even had my own covid loo! I was impressed by the extremely bossy & efficient head nurse who kept her finger on the pulse at all times. Even when I was being discharged a nurse found the time to wheel me to my car where my husband was anxiously waiting. Thank you a&e with a special shout out to the two young porters who took me to CT with their friendly banter & the amazing nurse who managed to put a canulae in my stubborn vein & was so kind. I would definitely recommend QAs A&E dept should you need their help as I did. Thank you 😁❤️🙏
