"Great GP practice in action"

I was delighted at how quickly Newhoue Surgery arranged an appointment with a GP to discuss my post-operative bleeding. On the day, my GP called in sick but receptionists quickly set up an alternative same-day appointment with at Hillhouse Surgery.

I was bowled over by the GP I saw's:

a) rapid grasp of my concerns

b) clarity and relevance of guidance I was provided with on control of bleeding

c) decision to write to my surgeon, highlighting my need for attention,

d) arranging a contrast CT scan

e) empathy, courtesy and charm

f) The reception staff at Newhouse and Hillside Surgeries were a pleasure to deal with.

it reminded me of how impressive the service offered by GPs can be. Many thanks to Dorking Medical Practice's caring and responsive medical / admin team. As an unexpected side-effect, the persistent bleeding I was suffering stopped later the same day - possibly reflecting to the practice's special powers! All in all I felt cared for and very well looked after.
