"Exceptional care from the staff"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Cardiology Critical Care / Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

(as a carer),

When my husband suffered a cardiac arrest at home it was the most terrifying time of my life.  After a stent was inserted in the Cath Lab he was immediately transferred to ICU where he spent a week and I honestly cannot put into words what the staff done for us that week.

They saved my husbands life and took exceptional, exceptional care of him but they also took care of me and I'll never forget those angels in my darkest days.

Thankfully my husband is recovering well in his local hospital but the care and attention of all the nurses that week will stay with me forever and I tell my husband about them every day, words will never be enough xxx

encourage people to share their experiences of health and social care, what matters to you, what you particularly liked or disliked so that we can share with the relevant department, and staff .
