Was diagnosed with advanced copd am now in end stage but I continued to smoke thought damage done what the hell, five months back I was taken into hospital and believe I died but was revived, I woke up to see my 18 year old son sitting next to my bed,
It was then that I decided I never wanted to see that look on his face ever again, I got someone to go into my house while I was still in hospital and remove all tabbaccoo fag papers ashtray anything to do with smoking, and I've not had a smoke since so hope to be on oxygen soon.
I got a phone call from Hazel from the smoking cessation clinic very pleasant young lady and a pleasure to talk to with good advice and encourage ment every step of the way, it was hard at first as was allergic to the patches and the gum made me feel sick.
I've now passed my 12 week call and still going strong Hazel has been amazing seeming to call at the times I've needed it the most sometimes just chatting about all sorts of stuff.
To anyone trying to quit or thinking about it go for it and stick at it there is light at the end of the dark tunnel, I can now afford to indulge my hobby of model making with the spare cash I've save just need bigger house for all these dammed models
