"THANK YOU!!!"

About: West Mendip Community Hospital

On 8.6.2022, while on holiday in Glastonbury, my husband and I arrived at the MIU of the West Mendip Community Hospital in Glastonbury as my husband had fallen and was bleeding heavily from a head wound. The care we received from the moment we arrived was exceptional. The attending nurse was very friendly, reassuring and caring. She cleaned the various wounds gently and explained everything she was doing clearly. She

also explained what the after effects of my husband's fall might be and what steps we might have to take. This verbal information was reinforced by a information leaflet for us to take away. My husband had also badly bruised his ribs during the fall and the ribs received the same caring and gentle treatment as his head wounds, including an information leaflet.

My husband ended up with five staples for one head wound and steristrips on the other. The staples and strips were removed at our surgery at home on Wednesday and the nurse commented on how well the wounds had healed. So, thank you very much from the bottom of our two hearts for looking after us so well.
