Just underwent a total knee replacement in hospital. I sustained a severe reaction to the dressings used leaving me with extensive sores and blisters round the wound. After discharge these became infected so I was on the phone to Toft Road surgery 8:30am Monday morning. Answered quickly, attentive and sympathetic receptionist offing an appointment with the nurse at 10: 40am. The nurse cleaned the wound after agreeing the infection and calling a GP down. Antibiotics prescription issued jimmediately and the drugs were available by the time we got to the chemist. Back home quickly and first tablet taken at 11:30 am.
