" A&E department is absolutely appalling "

I went in for a anal fissure and the pain was so unbearable that I couldn’t even sit down. The bleeding was terrible and they didn’t even give me any pain killers till 7 hours later. I was left in agony outside in waiting area where the seats are so uncomfortable. When I was finally seen they told me I had covid which I didn’t but they had mixed up my results with someone else’s! What a joke! The general surgeon gave me medication and sent me home. I waited 7 hours and that was with a doctor’s emergency letter! It’s absolutely pathetic how they just don’t care until you drop dead infront of them to get a bed!
