"My treatment at Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Acute Medical Receiving Unit (AMRU) University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I attended A and E with a severe headache, believing that I had had a reaction to antibiotics.

I was triaged after a short time and then waited a while for treatment.

The nurses, doctors and porters were so kind. They brought me food, water and painkillers.

I had a CT scan to rule out brain bleed and waited, in a ward, for a consultant.

The ward staff were all lovely and checked often on my wellbeing.

The consultant did some more tests and confirmed my illness was due to a bad reaction to the antibiotics. My medication was changed and I was able to go home.

The A and E  staff and ward 2 staff were amazing. I can't thank them all enough.
