I arrived at the department at 1.55 for a 2.0 pm appointment. Eventually was sent to the Boots Pharmacy at 2.35. After handing in the prescription I was told the waiting time would be about 35 minutes. There were around 30 people waiting for prescriptions to be dispensed, this is not counting the numerous people crossing the space to pay for purchases
and deliveries being made . I waited for 1 hour 25 minutes before the medication was brought out and this after reminding the pharmacist of how long I had been waiting. The medication was not the ones prescribed and I was given a substitute. This pharmacy is overworked and I did not feel it was a safe place due to the over crowding, most people had to stand as there is inadequate seating.
Why can't prescriptions be e mailed or a text sent to a pharmacy of ones choice to avoid such an overcrowded environment. This service is totally inadequate due to the volume of people.
