"Therapy for unprocessed emotions"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as the patient),

I had Eunice as a therapist and she worked with me over a period of 2 months to really help me process my brother's death, my incredibly tough relationship with my family and how it's affected my confidence in work and my own personal relationships.

Eunice, not only helped me by talking about it, but she challenged me when I kept flexing back my old patterns of thinking.  She was so helpful in giving me exercises to do  between our meetings.  I have them written down and will repeat them until I no longer apologise for myself.

The confidence I have started to have in looking after myself as a priority has really helped all aspects of my life.  I am really grateful for everything she has done for me.

Dear columbags57,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on therapy with Eunice. From reading your comments it seems you worked hard during and between sessions to shift your mind-set on difficult issues and thinking patterns. Your final comment on looking after yourself as a priority is great to read and we have shared your comments with Eunice already.

Wishing you the best

Ealing IAPT Team
