About: Lurgan Hospital / Ward 2

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I arrived in late May, not exactly sure on the date. The staff in Lurgan are amazing, they are so friendly and caring!

The cleanliness is very good, I have never seen a place so clean.

Food is very nice, I haven’t got the biggest appetite but I definitely try to eat most meals.

The recommendation I would make for ward 2 would be the bathroom facilities, I think the bathroom design is all wrong it is hard to go to the toilet comfortably especially with people who are not able to walk about and take themselves there.

I am extremely proud off all the staff members in Ward 2 Lurgan Hospital as throughout the busy periods and hard work we strive to ensure we deliver person centered care and also be mindful to communicate effectively with patients in our care.

The bathroom facilities have been brought to our attention before, I would like to assure you that this is a work in progress with the estates department in order to improve current facilities for all patients in our care.

I am delighted to hear that you are enjoying your meals and that you have acknowledged the excellent work of the domestic teams within Lurgan hospital as we would all agree they do an amazing job as well to ensure cleanliness is maintained. I will ensure I highlight the positivity of this review with all staff.
