"Lack of communication and disinterested "

About: Wrightington Hospital

Outpatient appointment with my mother who has advanced dementia..She was very confused and upset about having to leave familiar surroundings of care home and has very poor mobility. I struggled to transport her to appointment and on arrival was told the appointment was cancelled! No prior communication about this and no concern for the welfare of patient who was disoriented and upset and to add insult to injury was left to try and struggle through a narrow doorway with a frail 86 year old in a wheelchair....not a very caring environment....😡
